New Zealand Red Cross response to Canterbury earthquake
Posted on February 23, 2011 | No CommentsThe New Zealand Red Cross responded immediately after the earthquake, providing first aid assistance and distributing blankets and water to the affected population, who are housed in evacuation shelters across the city. 1800 blankets, 2000 water containers and 200 tents have been dispatched from Auckland and the Red Cross is also helping people reach their loved ones through its restoring family links service -

Hace diez años, la Cruz Roja y la Media Luna Roja desplegaron esfuerzos, junto con sus asociados, para mejorar el reconocimiento, la facilitación y la promoción del servicio voluntario, así como el trabajo en red de los voluntarios. Este año, ampliamos ese legado centrándonos en la protección, el reconocimiento y la promoción del voluntariado en el plano mundial. -
