Rebuilding from nothing is a massive task

Our driver – the quietly-spoken Amjad – is worried we haven’t had breakfast and pulls into a questionable looking truck stop. A couple of truck drivers snooze on one of the low platforms scattered with cushions that furnish the open eating area. -
From nothing to a functioning clinic in 15 minutes

The only thing marking its difference from a regular passenger bus, is the small National Red Crescent Society emblem on the side. But inside it’s very different – the bus carries an entire mobile health clinic and a team of volunteer doctors and other health professionals. -
So close, but still too far away

The small trailer carrying purification equipment can produce up to 30,000 litres of water a day, enough drinking water for about 4,000 people. -

Day 1 - Driving deeper into Sindh province, the roads become narrow strips of land flanked by flood water. Crops that were almost ready for harvest now slowly rot in the stagnant water. -
