Dear colleagues,
The IFRC is pursuing its efforts to sustain, integrate and share experiences and lessons learned from the Humanitarian Pandemic Preparedness initiative (H2P), an IFRC global programme developed and implemented in partnership with 94 National Societies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), United Nations (UN) agencies, and donors.
We are now pleased to present you with two online training modules on Influenza Pandemic in French and Spanish and we kindly ask you to also share the information with the different National Societies in your zone.
1. The “Influenza pandemic preparedness” aims to provide professionals and volunteers with a clear understanding of: – What is influenza pandemic – The preventive actions that can be undertaken – The home-based care of those ill with influenza – The most important infection control behaviours for helpers. Successful completion of the course will grant the learner a certificate.
2. The “Humanitarian Pandemic Preparedness Program – H2P” is based on the findings of the Programme Review Team report, including five key areas of H2P: partnership, planning, preparedness, response and sustainability. The module ends with a quiz and some links for more information.
You can find this module on the IFRC Learning platform where, as you know, registration and access are free.
