Fiaccolata.

In 2009, from the town of Solferino (Italy) 13,000 members of the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement embarked on an 8.6-kilometer torch-lit procession called the Fiaccolata to celebrate the 150th anniversary of its creation.

It is estimated that the Red Cross Red Crescent counts with 13.1 million of volunteers. This means more than 13 million of stories of individuals that, directly or indirectly, work to promote resilience in their communities.
