What matters to Seckou Keita?

Brought up by a traditional Griot family in the region of Casamance in southern Senegal, he began learning how to tell stories through music at a very early age. Seckou knows first-hand what armed violence can do to people's lives. That's why he's offered to donate half the proceeds from his CD, "The Silimbo Passage," to the ICRC in order to help the victims of war and conflict. In this photo album, he shares with us some of his favourite personal moments and memories of his beautiful homeland and the people who made a difference in his life. -
