Video: Volunteers talk about the challenges of providing medical care at times of crisis

The Syrian Arab Red Crescent and ICRC continue to work in difficult situations, providing medical care and support during a time of crisis. Volunteers talk about the work they’re doing and the challenges they face every day.

Fighting in Al-Zabadani (50 kilometres north-west of Damascus) resulted in hundreds of families fleeing to safety in Bludan, Madaya and Buqqin. The Syrian Arab Red Crescent, working closely with the ICRC, sent humanitarian aid to the displaced. The host communities provided warehouses to store the aid, and set up medical posts to treat the sick and the wounded.
